A few tips while you search:

• If your ancestor's name is common, adding their middle name can help.
• Tap "Show Advanced" to unlock more search options.
• Add a spouse's name to identify to help find them.
• For places, start broad: just a state or country casts the widest net.
• An approximate birth or death year is genuinely useful. It doesn't need to be exact, and it beats leaving it blank.
• Or try again with one of their relatives who died earlier.
